Amory - Rickie Lynn York, Jr., 34, died on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at Gilmore Memorial RMC. Born on September 26, 1976, in Winona, he was a son of the late Rickie Lynn York, Sr., and the late Lisa Faye Coleman Hall.
Rickie had a big heart and would help anyone who needed assistance. Living in Amory most of his life, he attended Amory High School. He worked as a frame builder with Townhouse Furniture in Smithville. Rickie enjoyed sports, especially football, and was looking forward to kickboxing with his brother at Reeves Kickboxing. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Janice York, Amory; daughters, Breeanna Langford, Caledonia and Laken York, Aberdeen; son, Brandon York, Aberdeen; step-daughters, Candi Forman, Lucedale and Kelly Keller, Smithville; sister, Latasha Currents, Montpelier, OH, and half-sister, Sandy York, Houston; brothers, Travis York, Smithville, Christopher York, Montpelier, OH, and half-brother, Patrick York, Houston; step-grandchildren, Precious Foster, Cameron Foster, Angel Howell and Corey and David Keller; step-father, Frank Hall, Hatley; grandparents, Ravis York, Okolona and Travis Coleman, Hazelhurst; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Charlie Gray.
A Funeral service will be held at 1 PM, Monday at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Pastor Stanley Blaylock officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will Charlie Gray, Adam and Cody Cogsdale, James Smith and John Lockhart.
Visitation will be from 11 AM until the service hour on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to a charity of choice.
