Amory- Richard Eldon Krout, 69, died Friday, December 13,, 2013 at his residence. Born October 22, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri, he was a son of Harry R. and Mary Etta Conner Krout.
A man of great intellect and a strong belief in God, he was passionate about studying religion. He also enjoyed in depth studies of ancient civilization, astronomy, weather and seasons, and was very proud of his Native American heritage. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. Very unique, he was a talented artist and had drawn many pictures of Jesus. He was a very loving family man and enjoyed being with his grandson, listening to him sing, fishing, chatting with his friends, woodworking and enjoying the handy work of God.
He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Whitehead (Wayne), Amory; sons, Kobe Krout (Gail), Booneville, MO and Jason Krout, Blue Springs, MO; sister, Bonnie Fish, Kansas City, MO; grandson, Willis Elden Whitehead; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Grace DeMarco and 2 brothers, Everett and Robert Krout.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1pm, Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Moffett officiating. Burial will follow in Hatley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Billy Parker, Steve Parker, James Morris, Joe Pruitt, Robert Hill and Willis Whitehead. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Whitehead and Rico Parker.
Visitation will be prior to the service on Tuesday from 11am until 12:45 at the funeral home.
