Amory - Rex P. Deghuee, 84, died on Sunday, September 18, 2011, at Golden Living Center. Born on April 11, 1927, in Bethlehem, PA, he was a son of the late Reginald Phillip and Mabel Ann Purcell Deghuee.
Mr. Deghuee received a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, and was Certified as a Professional Engineer (PE). He proudly served his country in the US Coast Guard. Mr. Deghuee worked as a Design Engineer for Rockwell Manufacturing Company. A kind and generous man who would do anything to help others, he was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. Having an easy-going personality, his family and work were important to him. Mr. Deghuee enjoyed fishing, reading, gardening, woodworking, and fixing things. He was a former member of the Amory Jaycees.
He is survived by a daughter, Emily D. Schmidt (Eric J.), Alpharetta, GA; son, Bradley Deghuee (Rebecca Vest), Morrison, CO; grandchildren, Andrew Gregory and Elliot Thomas Schmidt; and brothers, John and Sean Deghuee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sophie James Toney Deghuee on November 29, 2005; and brother, Joseph Deghuee. A Graveside Inurnment Service will be held at 10 AM, Monday, September 26 in Masonic Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:50 AM.
