Rex “Tal” Black
Nettleton — Rex Talmadge “Tal” Black, 78, died on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at NMMC, Tupelo, MS. Born October 22, 1937 in the Carolina Community, he was a son of Floyd and Eva Bean Black.
Rex attended school at the Carolina School. He was of the Baptist Faith and he believed in God. More than anything, Rex enjoyed helping his father farm as he loved the outdoors. Rex enjoyed working in the garden and he liked making his yard look great by carefully mowing and pruning. A political man, Rex loved to watch the Election Nights on television. He enjoyed hearing the platforms of the different candidates. His favorite television show was “Hee Haw” and he loved to eat home cooked food.
Survivors include his special friends Patsy Pettit, Guy Pettit; sister-in-law, Judy Thompson. In addition to his parents, Rex was preceded in death by his brother, Will Black and his Aunt Lola Bean.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Wiygul Cemetery in Itawamba County, Mississippi with Bro. Ricky Jones officiating. Burial will follow.
