Born on September 28, 1972, in Yazoo City, she was a daughter of Tommy L. and Bettie E. Ross Foster.Renee attended Hatley High School. On May 1, 1993, she married her childhood sweetheart, Larry Mitchell. Before becoming disabled, she worked as an inspector in the garment and furniture industries. Renee was a member of Gattman First Baptist Church where she served has a Sunday School teacher, sang in the choir, and was active in the bus ministry. A loving, amazing, caring, and outgoing woman, Renee’s life was guided by her faith and her family. She enjoyed Gospel music, flower gardening, watching movies with her family, cooking, and decorating. An outgoing person who was known for her smile, Renee was looking forward to watching her daughter’s high school graduation ceremony in May.She is survived by her best friend and soulmate, Larry Mitchell, Amory; daughter, Kimberly Mitchell, Amory; parents, Tommy and Bettie Foster and grandmother, Ruth Gilmore, of Columbia, TN; sister, Tammy Criddle (Jay), Hatley; brother, Thomas Foster, Columbia, TN; sister-in-law, Cynthia Basham (Dewayne), Amory; brother-in-law, Joe Mitchell (Janet), Gattman; nieces and nephews, Alisha, Ashley, and Chelse Strawhorn; Emily and Rachel Mitchell; Jake, Natalie, and Jayden Criddle; David, Jennifer, and Jonathon Basham; and great-nieces and nephews, Dakota and Michelle Basham; Dalton and Chloe Allred; Destiny Galloway; and Daniel and Danielle Basham; and a special friend, Julia Welch.She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Emmitt Foster, Josephine McDaniel, and L. G. Ross; mother-in-law, Adine Mitchell; and niece, Brandy Maschell Basham.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM, Friday, January 6 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Harvey Mitchell, Bro. Jackie Pate, and Bro. Bobbie Price officiating. Burial will follow in Wofford Cemetery, Sulligent. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
