Nettleton – Rebecca ‘Becky’ Lea Edwards Neal, 52, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Born on July 10, 1962, in Amory, she was the daughter of the late Doyce Lee and Bobbie Jean Curry Edwards.

Becky attended Nettleton High School and married the love of her life, Thomas Neal on September 13, 1980. They were happily married for over 34 years. A nurturing, loving mother, she and Thomas raised two sons and one daughter. She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church in Nettleton. With her husband being a preacher, she supported him and was a servant to her fellow church family members. She enjoyed being a Mamaw and spending time with her grandkids. In her free time, Becky liked to watch Wheel-A-Fortune and Cops on the television. She loved to listen to Gospel music. A dear, beloved woman, she will be missed by all that knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Bro. Thomas Neal; sons, Chad Neal (Trecia), Nettleton, and Brandon Neal (Toria), Nettleton; daughter, Christi Neal, Nettleton; sisters, Rhonda Amundsen (Bob), Oxford, Amy Edwards, Nettleton, Lisa McKinney (Chuck), Nettleton; brother, Greg Edwards (Carol), Blue Springs; grandchildren, Makenzie Neal, Katelyn Neal, Aiden Neal, Ethan Neal, Dylan Neal, Nettleton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Steve Edwards.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:30 PM, Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Bethel Baptist Church, Nettleton, with Bro. Thomas Neal, Bro. Chris McCord, and Bro. Jeff Martin officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery, Nettleton. Pallbearers will be David Neal, Bob Amundsen, Chuck McKinney, Jeff Neal, Lynn Neal, Larry Hester, Matthew “Max” Edwards, and John Harris. Honorary Pallbearers will be Aiden Neal, Ethan Neal and Dylan Neal.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday at Bethel Baptist Church.
