Nettleton – Reba Taylor Riley, 93, died Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center, Amory. Born January 9, 1919, she was the daughter of the late James Ira and Etta Mellissa Carter Taylor.
Mrs. Riley never met a stranger, everyone was her friend. She attended Greenwood Springs Schools and was employed in the garment industry working at Monroe Trouser and Amory Garment Company for 60 years. She married Albert Riley, who preceded her in death. Spending time with her family, caring for her dog, and loving her church family was important to her. She enjoyed Gospel and Blue Grass Music and enjoyed traveling on bus tours. Reba was a faithful member of Cason Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 50 years, was the church clerk for many years, a member of WMU, and loved singing in the choir. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, sewing, cooking, her retirement and her marriage to Albert.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Adams(George Adams, Sr.) of Nettleton; her son, Jimmy Riley (Barbara) of Nettleton; grandchildren, George Adams, Jr., Johnny Adams, Thomas Adams, Glenda Adams Webster, Timothy Jenkins, Anthony Jenkins, James Taylor Riley, April Riley Cook, and Krystal Riley; great-grandchildren, Michael Adams, Meghan Webster, Gavin Adams, Brooklyn Adams, Silas Adams, Chelsea Jenkins, Jeana Jenkins, Liam Taylor Riley, and Adian Tate Riley; great-great-grandchild, Cohen Michael Adams. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two great-grandchildren, Emily Grace Jenkins and Riley Clay Kuykendall.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 pm Monday, July 9, 2012 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro Shane Crawford and Bro. Jim Manley officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be George Adams, Jr., Johnny Adams, Thomas Adams, Tim Jenkins, Anthony Jenkins, Taylor Riley. Honorary pallbearer will be Mel Webster.
Visitation will continue until time for the service to begin.
