Columbus, OH - Randy Alan Parish, 47, went to be with the Lord on May 11, 2016, at James Cancer Research Center, Columbus, OH. Born on November 9, 1968, in Zion, IL, he was a son of Jerry and Carolyn Graham Parish.
Living most of his life in Amory, MS, Randy graduated from Hatley High School, Class of 1986, and from ICC in 1988. He was Baptist, loved his family, and was a people person. Working 25 years with MTD in Verona, Randy also worked for four years at Columbus Casting Company, Columbus, OH. He loved being with his family, drag racing, riding horses, golfing, fishing, and playing the piano. He worked so well with horses that some would say he was a true Horse Whisperer. Randy liked to listen to Contemporary Country music. He was passionate about cancer research and finding a cure. Of all his accomplishments in life, he was most proud of his three children, how they had matured and had grown into fine young adults. He will truly be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Survivors include his children, Nicholas "Nic" Parish, wife, Sara, of Columbus, MS; Garrett Parish, and Anna Parish, of Caledonia, MS; his parents, Jerry and Carolyn Parish, Summertown, TN; his brother, Rick Parish, wife, Cindy, Freeport, FL; his grandmother, Evelyn Ermis, Tupelo, MS; and many other family members and friends.
His Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, June 4th at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given at the Memorial Service to be sent to The James Cancer Research Center in Columbus, OH, to be used for a "Bike for the Cure" event in August in Randy's memory.
