Hamilton, Miss.—Bryran Randolph “Randy” Camp, 72, died on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle. Born August 17, 1940, in the Splunge Community, he was a son of the late Lawrence Roy and Hattie Pearl Noe Camp. He was a 1959 graduate of Aberdeen High School and worked at Potash, Kerr-McGee and Prarie Chemicals before going into the carpentry business later working with his son. He married Delana Thompson with whom he enjoyed spending his afternoons. Known as a loving Christian man, one of his greatest accomplishments was being a cancer survivor. An avid jokester, he also enjoyed building birdhouses and keeping an immaculate yard.
A Celebration of Life service will be 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Mike Allen officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Delana Thompson Camp of Hamilton; one daughter, Sherry Camp Parkhurst (Scott) of Jackson, Tenn.; one step-daughter, Regina Tubb Poe of Hamilton; one son, Bryan Randy Camp (Michelle) of Amory; two stepsons, Randall Tubb of Hamilton and Robert Tubb of St. Louis, MO; two sisters, Charlene Camp Cook (Jimmy) of Columbus and Yvonne Camp Stanford of Aberdeen; one brother, James Arnold Camp of Columbus; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer Swan Spencer (Clint), Nicholas Waldrop (Brittany), Bryce Camp, Bryn Camp, McKynlie Camp, Chad Brahl, Cameryn Tubb, Kaytlin Bohn, Krysti Poe, and Thomas Poe; two great grandchildren, Neely Sha Spencer and Lucas Kyle Waldrop; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers and sisters, Larry Camp, Armond Lee Camp, Eulene Graham, Ofia Lee Silas, Donald Camp, Dorothy Duke, and Willadean Collins.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday evening and will continue until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
