Ralph Fred Burgholzer
Hamilton – Ralph Fred Burgholzer, 88, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at his residence in Hamilton, MS and began his new life with God. He was born on June 26, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Volorious Mark and Marie Burgholzer.
Ralph grew up in Illinois and entered into the Air Force in 1953and served three years during the Korean Conflict. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal, National Defense Medal and the United Nations Service Medal during his term, and was then discharged in 1956. He was a Patriot his whole life and was very proud of The American Flag and was a lifelong member of the VFW.
He worked in the Water Treatment department in Quartzsite, Arizona. A great provider, he was blessed by God with six children and numerous grandchildren. Ralph believed in God and attended many area Baptist Churches during his life. He was loving, believed in hard work, spending time with family and always having fun.
Ralph was fascinated with trains, was adventuresome at times, and a little crabby if you caught him on the wrong day. He never held back and was always brutally honest and even after trying to pull a fast one on you, he would tell on himself as he had a great heart. Some of his close friends were Johnny Kelly, Lize, Benz and Frank Young. They liked to talk, ear out, watch sports, and Ralph really liked hanging at the V.F.W., Johnny’s Lounge, and Quartside Yacht Club.
This kind hearted loving man will be missed by so many. As loved ones and friends look back on all the great memories, they will cherish the gift of love he gave them.
Ralph is survived by his daughters, Clo Burgholzer (John Howard), Columbus, Dana Young (Frank), Hamilton, Carol Williams, Arizona, and Karen Huber, Illinois; sons, Eddie Burgholzer (Nancy), WI and Billy Burgholzer, Arizona; grandchildren, Jade Mata, Anthony Cruz and numerous other grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home in Amory, MS.
