– Peggy W. Coleman, 87, died on Sunday, January 16, 2011, at Gilmore Memorial RMC. Born on August 7, 1923, in Hamburg, Iowa, she was a daughter of the late Alvin Hobart and Eathel Kelly Ward.Mrs. Coleman was a graduate of Aberdeen High School, Class of 1942. She was a homemaker and a member of Smithville Baptist Church. A loving mother, she adored her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Coleman enjoyed crocheting, crafts, working with her hands and listening to Gospel and Country music.She is survived by a daughter, Betty C. (Rollin) Turnage, Smithville; son, James D. “Danny” (Verna) Coleman, Jr., Amory; grandchildren, Russ Coleman, Tracey Riddle, Susan L. McClelland and Wesley Turnage; great-grandchildren, Cole Riddle, Dani Coleman, Rebecca Riddle, Elise, Ashley and Christian Lingle, Millie and Everett Turnage, and Anthony McClelland; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, J. D. Coleman, sister, Betty W. Barker and brother, Herbert “Bus” Ward.A Graveside service will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday in Center Hill Cemetery, Hamilton with Bro. Wes White and Dr. Allen Simpson officiating. Pallbearers will be Cole Riddle, Wes Turnage, Nelson Riddle, Russ Coleman, Glenn McClelland and Christian Lingle. Everyone is asked to meet at 9:15 AM at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Tuesday at E. E.
