Pearlie Kathryn Stanphill, 72, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Golden Living Center. Born on March 1, 1943, in Nettleton, she was a daughter of the late London Calvin and Pearlie Sullivan Kennedy.
Kathryn attended Nettleton Schools. A loving Christian lady who loved the Lord with all her heart, she was of the Non-denominational faith. Her life’s enjoyment was guided by her faith and family. Touching many lives with her care and compassion, Kathryn was a private duty sitter for 30 years. Compassionate, giving, and having a heart-of-gold, she dearly loved her children and grandchildren. Kathryn enjoyed watching hummingbirds, listening to Southern Gospel music, and loved yellow tulips.
Survivors include her daughters, Robin Steele (Leon), Becker, René Morgan (Patrick), Marion, AR, and Hannah Reed, Amory; sons, Russell Gray, Nettleton, and Ricky Gray (Joy), Amory; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Retha Hunt, Wren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Gray; daughter, Amy Gray; husbands, Ed Stanphill and Pete Vicks; 2 sisters; 9 brothers.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 5 – 7 PM, Monday, December 28, 2015, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory.
