Memphis – Pauline Holloway Foote, 85, died on Sunday, April 24, 2011, at The Med, Memphis. Born on July 9, 1925, in Amory, she was a daughter of the late Albert & Alma Elizabeth Kirkpatrick Holloway.
Mrs. Foote was a graduate of Becker High School. Moving to Memphis in 1945, she worked at Gerber’s Tea Room while attending beauty school. For 40 years, Mrs. Foote worked as a beautician at Goldsmith’s and retired from Charlotte’s Beauty Salon. She was a member of Union Avenue Baptist Church. A sweet, loving, and spunky lady who lived live to the fullest, Mrs. Foote enjoyed playing with her dog, Baby; flower gardening; traveling, especially to the Florida Keys; spending time with her family; and sitting outside.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Foote, Memphis; niece, Leigh Ann Cornish, Olive Branch; and several cousins.
A Graveside service will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, April 27, 2011, in Greenbrier Cemetery with Mr. Richard Wall officiating. Pallbearers will be Richard and Tim Wall, Wes Kirkpatrick and Brandon Adams.
Everyone will meet at 9:30 AM, Wednesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to a church or charity of choice.
