Amory-Paul Richard Ledbetter, Sr., 65, died Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born March 6, 1947 in Arkansas to the late Jesse W. and Wanda Purdom Ledbetter. He married Marlene Ledbetter June 20, 1971.
Mr. Ledbetter attended school in Campbell, MO and later served his country in the United States Army. After his service with the Army, he moved to Dearborn Heights, MI where he worked with Allied Automotive as a mechanic for over 25 years. A great father, brother, and uncle, he was always willing to help his family, often giving family members rides to various places. He loved spending time with family, especially his granddaughter, watching his favorite Michigan sports teams, and working in the yard.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, December 22 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Crook and Mr. Marshall Eubanks officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Fermin Haro, Michael Jiminez, Lucas Jiminez, Robbie Carson andJesse Pool. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jaden Haro and Miles Jiminez.
Survivors include his son, Michael Ledbetter of Amory; sisters, Lucy Agee of Amory, Beverly Clapper (Ralph) of Wingo, KY and Cathy Jiminez (Jose) of Amory; brother in law, Liverato Haro of Amory; granddaughter, Maysah Ledbetter; special friend, Carl Snead and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Michele Ledbetter; son, Paul Ledbetter, Jr.; sister, Donna Haro.
