Aberdeen—Paul Dwaine Foster, 67, died Sunday, September 18, 2016, at his residence. Born on February 27, 1949, in Lilbourn, Missouri, he was a son of the late Howl and Helen Hawkins Foster.
Paul was of the Pentecostal faith. He attended Amory schools. Paul was an upholsterer with his father’s company, Foster Furniture.
One to have never met a stranger, he constantly made new friends. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to raise all types of animals, especially chickens. Grabbling was his latest hobby. Paul had a passion about playing Bingo and never minded who won; He just enjoyed the fellowship with others. In his spare time, he loved to listen to FM 95 Radio and enjoyed watching Old Westerns and Atlanta Braves baseball.
Paul Foster is survived by his wife, Shirley Renfro Foster, whom he married on June 9, 1967; daughters, Lisa Ann Foster and Shirley Marie Foster, of Aberdeen; son, Paul Dwaine Foster, II, Aberdeen; sisters, Patricia Stanford (Kenny), Aberdeen; Dorothy Cummings (Ernie), Amory; Carolyn Townsend (Pruitt), Aberdeen; brothers, Steve Foster (Nancy), Amory, and Bobby Foster, Aberdeen; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ebo Head and Sissy Parish; brothers, Shane and James Foster; and a grandmother, Lillie Foster.
The Celebration of Life for Paul D. Foster will be at 2 PM, Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at The Hill Center behind Bethel Apostolic Church with Bro. Stanley Blaylock officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park, Amory. Pallbearers will be Matthew Cummings, Timothy Parrish, Charles Foster, Walter Foster, Bobby Head, Daniel Renfro, Pervy Williams, and Anthony West.
Visitation for will be from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 20 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory. Mr. Foster will lie-in-state at The Hill Center on Wednesday from 11:30 until the service time.
