Patti Reeves Newcomb

Cedar Rapids, IA – Patricia “Patti” Reeves Newcomb, 44, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at her residence. Born on September 22, 1971, in Amory, she was a daughter of William W. and Sherry Burdine Reeves.

Patti graduated from Amory High School, with the Class of 1989. She was a graduate of ICC and attended MSU. A talented multi-tasker, Patti worked as a dispatcher in the transportation industry. Patti worked both for her father’s business as well as other logistics companies during her lifetime. Her life was guided by her Southern Baptist Christian faith and her family, especially her children, Kelsi and Clay. Possessing an inviting and captivating smile, Patti brightened a room every time she entered. Funny and intelligent, she enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. During her downtime, Patti would listen to music like the ‘80’s, Elvis, Old Country, and Elton John. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. All the wonderful memories she gave will be treasured forever.

Survivors include her parents, William “Red” and Sherry Reeves, Amory; daughter, Kelsi Pringle, Cedar Rapids, IA; son, Clay Newcomb, Tupelo; sisters, Terri Thornton and Christi Wilkerson (Tommy) of Amory; brother, Will Reeves (Holly), Amory; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clifford and Hazel Burdine, and paternal grandparents, Floyd and Christine Reeves.

Her Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, August 25, 2016, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Dr. Allen Simpson officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Amory, MS. Pallbearers will be Keith, Steven, and Michael Reeves; Cody Ellis; Rory Thornton; and William Lindsey.

Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
