Patsy Wilson Anthony

Tremont – Patsy Wilson Anthony, 79, started her new life in Heaven on November 16, 2022. She was born on December 27, 1943, in Amory, MS, to the late Dow Wilson and Eunice Patterson Wilson.

Patsy grew up an only child in Itawamba County, Mississippi and she attended Tremont High School. A hard worker and great provider, Patsy worked for over 25 years in the clothing manufacturing industry at Detroit Slacks. Over the years, she made many friends at work and her great sense of humor enabled her to always make others smile.

She married the love of her life, Charles L. Anthony, and they enjoyed many happy years together, being blessed by God with two sons. A fine Christian woman, Patsy lived out her faith daily. She attended and was a member of Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Patsy loved the Lord and was a spunky spirited woman who always cared for others. She was a great encourager and always knew what to say to help others see the light during tough or trying times. Family meant the world to her and she cherished every moment she had with them, especially her great-grandkids.

There was not another who could make a chocolate and coconut pie like Patsy. She was an amazing cook, always creating wonderful dishes to share with others. When she was able, she loved to be outside and garden. Patsy enjoyed working in both her vegetable and flower gardens. She liked to listen to any music by Elvis and read good books, especially those written by John Grisham. Above all, she loved spending time with those she loved.

Patsy’s family and friends consider themselves so blessed to have such a wonderful woman in their life, who was supportive, wise, and loving. She will never be forgotten and the memories made with her will live on forever.

She is survived by her son, John Anthony (Deanna), Tremont; grandchildren, Lauren Mask (Nick), Zack Mask, and Emily Mask; great-grandchildren, Tahrleigh Frederick, Alli Mask, Greyson Gardner, and Weston Mask.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles L. Anthony; son, James R. Anthony.
