Patsy Camp
Amory, Miss.—Patsy Ann Monaghan Camp, 71, died on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at her home. A lifelong resident of Monroe County, she was born March 15, 1942 in Nettleton to the late Shelby and Ruby Virginia Laney Monaghan. Before her retirement, she worked as a field interviewer for the U.S. Census Bureau. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed shopping, listening to Elvis, and spending time with her grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Truman Carter officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Parkhurst (Scott) of Jackson, TN; one son, Bryan Camp (Michelle) of Amory; 4 sisters, Peggy Best (Jim) of Amory, Carolyn Wigginton (Roger) of Amory, Mary Bright of Amory, and Linda Presley (Donnie) of Amory; one brother, Dewey Monaghan (Eva Grace) of Amory; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Swan Spencer (Clint), Nicholas Waldrop (Brittany), and Jordan Parkhurst, Chad Brahl, Bryce Camp, Bryn Camp, and McKynlie Camp; two great grandchildren, Neely Sha Spencer and Lucas Waldrop; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Barbara Howell, Ruby Nell Wright, Sue and Fred Tartt, Judy Earnest, Shirley Owen, and Donna Neal.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Joyce Chism and Francis Hester.
Pallbearers will be Bryce Camp, Clint Spencer, Nicholas Waldrop, Scott Wiggington, Josh Chism, Walker Todd, and Bryn Camp. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Wiggington, Roger Duke, Sammy Neal, Pat Patterson, Fred Tartt, Jim Best, Donnie Presley and Chad Brahl.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
