Patricia Stoddard

Mrs. Patricia Ann Stoddard, 67, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at her residence in Amory. Born In Amory on February 21, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Thomas, Sr. and Lula Faye Nix Southard. She graduated with the class of 1968 at Smithville High School. Patricia was of the Baptist faith. She married Rodney Stoddard on May 14, 1968. Together they were blessed with one daughter and two sons. Patricia managed many restaurants throughout her life. Her closest friend was Lucian “Lulu” Sumrall.

Some of the pleasures that Patricia enjoyed were to go to yard sales, estate sales and going to the library. When listening to music, her favorite artist was Elvis and anything that was of the old time Rock and Roll age.

Patricia was gifted with 8 grandchildren of which she loved taking care of. She loved each and every one unconditionally. Her family will look to her legacy for strength and guidance throughout their lives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Southard.

Patricia Stoddard is survived by her husband, Rodney; daughter, Kristy Stoddard (Winfield, AL); sons, Richard Stoddard (Amory), Kenneth (Susan) Stoddard, Becker; sisters; Sandy Plunkett, Kathy Vaughn; brothers: Thomas Southard, Jr., Joey Southard, both of Amory; Grandchildren: Brandon, Blade, Andrew, and Page Stoddard, Britney Easter, Montana and Angel Watkins; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service for Patricia Stoddard will be at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, February 23, 2018 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory. Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes will be officiating. Burial will follow at Hatley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marty Smith, Steve Aldridge, Andrew Schrock, Charles Tyler, Gary Derrick, and Wayne Parish.

Visitation for Mrs. Stoddard will be from 5-8 PM, on Thursday evening, February 22, 2018 at the funeral home.
