Wren – Norma Ball, 80, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016, at Golden Living Center. Born on March 18, 1936, in Fulton, she was a daughter of the late Duard Francis and Lillie Mae Miller Rock.
Norma attended school in Fulton. For many years, she was a seamstress with Amory Garment. On June 14, 1980, she married Henry Ball. While living in Clarksdale, Norma worked in the jewelry department at Walmart.
A saint who was passionate and always gave unconditional love, she loved her family, especially her two boys. Strong in her faith, Norma was a devout Christian. She was a member of Clarksdale Church of God. After moving to Amory, she attended Amory Church of God and North MS Worship Center in Wren. Very giving, Norma was passionate about children and St. Jude. Listening to a variety of music, Gospel was her favorite, especially The Goodman Family. She also sang with her family on the Eddie Hill Radio Show. Norma enjoyed puzzle books, Yahtzee, and working in her flowers and yard.
Survivors include her sons, Donnie R. (Kris) Palmer and Dan R. (Donna) Palmer of Wren; 7 grandchildren, Angela Palmer, Cynthia Little, Rachal Rooker, Danny “Little Dan” Palmer, Richard Palmer, Christina Barnett and Bradley Palmer]; 7 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Cassie, Peyton, Cali, Carly, Megan and Denise; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Haley and Skylar; sisters, Mary McMillan, Fulton, Sue (Walt) Strong, Pearl, and Edna Cates, Mountain Home, AR; brothers, Edward (Janie) Rock, Amory, Milford Rock, San Antonio, TX, and Ed (Irene) Rock, Raleigh, MS; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Eloise Foster.
Her Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Bro. David Rock officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don, Dan, and Rick Palmer; Rodney [Last name]; Chuck[Last name]; and George Johnson.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
