Nell Johnson Box

Amory- Nell Johnson Box, 93, died Sunday, January 19, 2014. Born April 25, 1920 in Sulligent, she was a daughter of Howard and Willie Moore Johnson. She married Roy Box in 1938. She attended school in Sulligent, retired from Amory Garment 23 years ago, after many years of Service. She attended church at St. Matthew’s Methodist Church. She enjoyed being with her family, going to auction sales with her husband, fishing, which was her passion, working in her flowers gardens and talking, which she was good at.

She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Chism (Dan), Amory; grandson, Danny Chism, Amory and great grandson, Josh Chism, Amory; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by 2 sisters and 5 brothers.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Monaghan and Bro. Glen Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Young Memorial Garden. Pallbearers will be Boyd Duncan, Charles Watson, Mitch Willis, Gary Umfress, Bobby Phillips and Kenny Gilmore. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Carter, Arlis Lee, Charles Gilmore and Bill Fisher.
