Naum L. Myatt

Becker — Naum Lee Myatt, 88, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020, at his residence in Becker, MS. He was born on May 12, 1932, in Monroe County, Mississippi, to the late Purvis Connie Myatt, Sr. and the late Clara Bee Myatt.

Naum grew up in Monroe County in a close family and he had three other brothers. He was a High School graduate and furthered his education at ICC and Mississippi State University. He served our country proudly in the Army National Guard. An entrepreneur, he started Naum Myatt & Sons Construction Company and throughout the years he was a wonderful provider for his family. He was proud of his successful business.

Naum married the love of his life, Faye Goin Myatt and together they were blessed with four boys. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and he loved the Lord and his family dearly. Naum enjoyed listening to Gospel music and most all decisions he made in life were for his family. His family joked and said that Naum always had the attitude that everything had to be done now. In his free time, he liked to raise cattle.

Although he will be missed dearly, his family is grateful for the man he was for his family and all the precious memories which were made through the years.

Naum is survived by his loving wife, Faye Myatt, Amory; sons, Ricky Myatt, Amory, Keith Myatt, Amory, Donnie Myatt, Amory; grandchildren, Lee Myatt, Alesia Holland, Kyle Myatt, Mary Elizabeth Keith; great-grandchildren, Bryson Myatt, Westin Holland, and Parker Holland.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Terry Myatt; brothers, Calvin Myatt, P.C. Myatt, Willie Guy Myatt, Sr.

A private family funeral service will be held at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory.
