Smithville – Mytina Sandlin Sloan, 35, died on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 as a result of an automobile accident in Monroe County. Born on June 12, 1975 in Monroe County, she was a daughter of Tommy Sandlin and the late Elizabeth Earnestine Herron Sandlin.
Mytina was a graduate of Sulligent High School. A very caring, giving and sweet lady, she was a homemaker who cherished the time spent with her family. She married Ronnie Ray Sloan June 28, 1996, who survives. Mytina was a faithful member of Cason Baptist Church active in Emmaus Group, Nursery, Vacation Bible School and the Heaven and Hell Ministry. She enjoyed cooking, camping at the waterway and outdoor recreation.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Ray Sloan of Smithville; her daughters, Kimberly Sloan and Kelly Sloan both of Smithville; her son, Lane Sloan of Smithville; her father Tommy Sandlin (Edith) of Sulligent; her sisters, Marcie Pearce (Dwayne) of Smithville and Mechelle Vance (Jeff) of Sulligent; nieces and nephews, Cory Vance, Zack Vance, Jennifer Vance, Amy Alexander, Cara Thompson , C.J. Thompson, Libby Sloan, Lillian Alexander, Max Alexander, Cole Sandlin and Cortney Houlk. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Coy Sandlin and her niece, Kimberly Suzanne Thompson .
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 PM, Friday, April 15, 2011 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Shane Crawford, Bro. Sammy McMillen and Bro. Jerry Oakes officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery.
Visitation will continue at funeral home until time for the service to begin.
