Tupelo – Myrtle Cooper Hall, 93, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Sanctuary Hospice. Born on March 18, 1924, in Mathiston, MS, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Myrtle Cooper.
Myrtle was a graduate of Mathiston High School, Class of 1942. In 1947, she married the love of her life, Robert M. Hall. They were blessed with a wonderful son, Bobby. She and her husband moved to Amory when he was transferred with South Central Bell. Myrtle worked at Gilmore Shoe Store before becoming a homemaker. Her faith and family were most the important things in her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Amory.
Having never met a stranger, she quickly made new friends and she enjoyed spending time with them. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Myrtle like to to listen to Big Band music, especially Jimmy Dorsey. She was a great cook and enjoyed working in her flowers gardens. Sweet, loving, and caring, Myrtle will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her son, Bobby Hall, Tupelo; granddaughter, Alison Langston and great-grandson, Grayson Langston of Hot Springs, AR.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Hall, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Janet Hall; and step-brother, Jake Cooper; special friends, Marketta Page and Janelle Glasgow.
Her Funeral Service will be at 11 AM, Monday, April 24 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Dr. Allen Simpson officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Grady Wright; Jerry Jones; Lester Cagle; Phil Roberts; Frank Owen; Paul and Vance Johnson.
Visitation will be from 9 AM - 10:45 AM, Monday, at the funeral home.
