Fulton – Myrtle Lois Brown, 82, died on Friday, November 30, 2012, at Community Hospice at Darlington Oaks. Born November 11, 1930, in Hamilton, MS, she was a daughter of the late Ira Griffin and Willie Bell Noe Brown.
Miss Brown attended Becker School. She was a retired seamstress with Amory Garment. A spiritual person, Miss Brown, the youngest of nine children, was the monarch of her family. Feisty and full-of-life, she enjoyed being with family and friends, her cats, reading, working puzzle books, embroidery, and cooking. Miss Brown was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post 4490, Aberdeen.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Volene Lois Edwards Brown Walkers, Corinth; nieces and nephews, William Doyle Brown (Barbara), Brandon, Donnie Brown (Debra), Mooreville, Iris Brown Pearson (Jack), Amory, Jan Brown Speck (Don), Blue Springs, Barbara Brown Hutson (Bart), Amory, Gail Barnes, Golden, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Emma Glo Brown; brothers, William Alvis (Edna Mae Bobo) Brown, Arvil Wilburn (JoAnn Varner Grant) Brown, Jessie Audis (Geneva Mae Cantrell) Brown, Artice Brown, Hershal C (Marvel) Brown, John Bankhead “J. B.” Brown, Ira Darling “R. D.” (Eunice Elsie Malone) Brown; nieces, Judith Eileen Brown Jones, Myra Elizabeth Brown Flurry, and Kathryn Hoey Brown; and nephews, Jack Arvil Brown and John Charles “Pete” Brown.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, December 9 at Grady’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Wren.
