New Albany – Mona Marie Belue Tucker, 52, died on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at NMMC, Tupelo after a long-term illness. Born on July 9, 1958, in Amory, she was a daughter of the late John & Lucille Belue.
A great lady, Mona grew up in Amory. While living in Tuscaloosa, she owned and operated a beauty shop. A Christian woman who loved her family, especially her great-niece, she had a big, caring heart. During her illness, Mona drew closer to the Lord. She enjoyed cross-stitching, crocheting and loved talking to people.
She is survived by two brothers, John A. Belue, New Albany and Roy Armstrong, Verona; nephews, John Austin Belue, Myrtle and John Brooks (Brittney) Belue, Blue Springs; and great-niece, Emma Kate Belue.
A Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Friday at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Mr. Thom Perry, minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be from 1 PM until the service hour on Friday at the funeral home.
