Nettleton – Molene Christian Lann, 87, died on Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at her residence. Born on January 8, 1924, in Fulton, she was a daughter of the late Ottis Graden and Evelyn Nettie Hobbs Christian.
She graduated from IAHS and Beauty College. Working as a seamstress and utility float in the garment industry, Mrs. Lann worked at Amory Garment, Glenn Mfg., Wilson Mfg., and retired from Reeds Manufacturing. A former member of Cason Baptist Church where she was saved, Mrs. Lann was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed listening to Bluegrass music, gossiping with her close friends, gardening, and eating chocolate. Her family, especially her boys, was important to her as were raising her bulldogs and all her animals.
She is survived by a son, Jackie L. Lann, Nettleton; brother, Clint G. Christian, Fulton; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jerry, and Jana Lann; Jeff Cayson; Jason, Mike, Sonya, Jessica and Justin Wright; great-grandchildren, Tyler Barton; Matthew and Christopher Waddell; Janson, Jessilann and Jaylann Ettinger; Brandon, Cory, Jade, Tyler, and Dylan Cayson; Keisha Whitehead; Morgan and Janie Kay Wright; Dylan Phillips; Jasmine and Zack Gilmore; Tanner Hall; and Terra and Mishia Riley; and great-great-grandchildren, Jess, Braxton, Jamie and Kayle.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, May 13, 2011, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. David Lann and Bro. Tommy Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Lann, Tyler Cayson, Justin Wright, Heath Ettinger, Joe Coptane and Paul Oatsville. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Johnson, Chuck Sullivan, Shane, Chris and Dylan Cayson, and Cory Fuller.
Visitation will continue from 11:30 until the service hour on Friday.
