MJ Justice
Amory— Mary Judith “MJ” Taylor Justice, 75, was surrounded by family and friends on Friday, June 7, 2019, when she went to her Savior. She was born May 10, 1944, in Lookout Mountain, TN to John Grant Taylor and Dorothy Grace Towne Taylor.
MJ graduated from Meridian High School with the Class of 1962. She attended the University of Kentucky. She was a beautiful, sweet lady who was devoted to her sons. She loved to work which was exemplified in the 34 years she spent at Magnolia Lighting, formerly The Lighting Gallery By Nesco, in Tupelo. She loved working with clients, contractors and co-workers. New homes were her specialty.
MJ's sons, family, friends and co-workers were very important to her. She loved SEC college football especially Mississippi State University. She enjoyed working in her yard, cooking and decorating. Animals were aware of her loving spirit as she reached out to them.
Above all, MJ loved her family and enjoyed every moment spent with them, especially Christmas and birthdays. She will be greatly missed, but her family celebrates her going home to her Savior, Jesus Christ, and her heavenly home.
MJ is survived by her sons, John Justice (Tona), Madison, MS, Allen Justice ( Melody), Corinth, MS; grandchildren, Leighton Justice, Madison, Taylor Justice, Tupelo, Anna Caryl Justice, Tupelo; step-grandchildren, Brandon Strickland, Jackson Strickland, and Ashlyn Strickland, Corinth; sister, Barbara Self (Dan, Jr), Meridian; niece, Susan Self, Woodstock, GA; nephew, Daniel Self, III, Meridian, MS; special friends , the girls at The Lighting Gallery.
She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Oren Justice and her parents, Grant & Grace Taylor.
Graveside services will be held at 11AM, Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Henry Cemetery, 2009 N Polk St, Corinth.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8PM, Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, MS.
Pallbearers will include John Justice, Allen Justice, Leighton Justice, Dillon Myrick, Michael Hester and Brandon Strickland.
