Mickey Wayne Reich

Amory – Mickey Wayne Reich, 66, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, October 15, 2016. Born June 28, 1950, in Amory, he was a son of the late William Reich and Virginia Patterson Reich.

Mickey attended schools in Amory through the ninth grade. After his family moved to Missouri, he graduated from High School in Hayti, Missouri. Mickey furthered his education by obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Arkansas. Mickey was blessed with three daughters during his younger years. He worked hard to provide for his family and he dedicated over 30 years in the automobile business selling over 7000 vehicles during his lengthy career. He was one of the best professional salesmen in the area. He was a special person who cared about his customers. He would send people birthday cards, and he built a relationship with people.

With a love for his community, Mickey took a break from car sales to work for the Amory Police Department. He had a great sense of accomplishment through this job as he helped protect and serve the public. A man who loved his Lord and Creator, Mickey was a member of Central Grove Baptist Church in Aberdeen. He always had a smile on his face and he would shoot it to you straight if you asked for his advice. Later in life, he married and was blessed by a loving and caring wife, Diane. She fulfilled the vow of being there for him “for better or worse, in sickness and in health.” In his free time, Mickey enjoyed hanging out with his family and his dogs, Pee Wee and Boomer, which were his best friends. He felt blessed by God to have so many close friends and he liked to entertain. He was a friend to everybody and never met a stranger. He loved to fish for bass, bream, and trout. He really loved being outdoors and the peace that came with fishing. A true character, Mickey will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Service Celebrating his Life will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory with Pastor Dennis Smithey and Pastor Charles Young officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bailey Haney, Tommy Roberts, Alan Patrick, Steve Hunt, Rickey Reich, and Bubba Reeves.
