Roseville, Calif.—Mattie Frances Rea Stewart, 83, died on Thursday, July 4, 2013 in Roseville, Calif. Born December 29, 1929 in Amory, she was a daughter of the late Jefferson Davis and Mattie Augusta Rea. In 1949, she relocated to California settling in the Sacramento area. With a kind, generous, and loving heart, she made many good friends and set a great Christian example by seeing the best in all, being greatly missed by all who knew her. She enjoyed her pets, Teddy and Simone.
A Celebration of Life service will be 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Tommy Whaley officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Bernard and Jack Stewart; one daughter, Debbie Stewart Myers; sisters, Clara Mae Dykes, Christeen Carpenter, and Ruth Farrar; granddaughter, Holli Larsen; great grandchildren, Dakota and Billy Larsen; and a host of other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ruble Rea Senior and Armon David Rea; and one sister, Dora Lee Conwill.
Pallbearers will be Jody Box, Jason Pannell, James Dykes, Michael Dykes, Anthony Parham, and Keith Parham.
Visitation will be 5-8 Friday evening at the funeral home and will continue until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
