Woodland, MS - Marie Vernon Langford, 26, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center, West Point. Born on May 10, 1990, in Amory, she was the daughter of Marilyn Hall Poirier and Michael Vernon. Marie attended school in Smithville and Shannon. While in High School, she loved to play tennis and softball.
Marie was a fun loving individual; she was the life of the party and never met a stranger. Marie loved the outdoors. She enjoyed mud riding, loved to ride 4-wheelers and bon-fires. She was so proud to display her truck. Recovery held a special place in Marie’s life. She considered each one as part of her closest friends and family.
Marie married Gary Langford on March 27, 2010. She was a dedicated wife and mother. Her children and husband were the loves of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Langford; daughters, Brooklen and McKynlee Langford of the home; son, Gary Langford, Jr. and Eric Langford of the home; mother, Marilyn Hall Poirier (Darain), Shannon; father, Michael Vernon, Smithville; sister, Miley Beth Poirier, Shannon; brother, J. R. Capps (Cheryl), Woodland; Grandparents: James and Eudell Hall, Amory; Rick and Doris Martin, Smithville; Nieces and nephews, Anna and Eric Valladares; Riley, Cole and Madelyn Capps; Father-and-mother-in-law, Jimmy and Dawn Langford, Woodland; brother-and-sister-in-law, Josh and Angie Langford. A Celebration of Life Service for Marie will be at 2 PM, Friday, October 21, 2016, at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Bro. Malcolm Tidwell and Bro. Charles Petty officiating. Burial will follow in the Baker Cemetery, Greenwood Springs, MS. Pallbearers will be Gary Langford, J.R. Capps, Darain Poirier, Todd Clark, Jimmy Langford, and Josh Langford.
Visitation will be on Friday morning, October 21, 2016, from 12:00 – 1:50 PM at the funeral home.
