Clinton – Mary Ruth Roth, 87, died on Friday, November 5, 2010, in Gilmore Memorial RMC. Born on January 13, 1923, in Mobile, AL, she was a daughter of the late James Whitfield Mabry, Sr., and Mildred Miller Mabry Woodside.
Mrs. Roth was a very special mother and a devoted Christian. She was a former member of Holy Savior Catholic Church, Clinton. Mrs. Roth was a homemaker and had been residing at Oak Tree Plantation Assisted Living, Amory.
The last member of her family, she is survived by a daughter, Theresa Tommy) Parish, Amory; sons, Bill Roth, Raymond and Mickey (Martha) Roth, Clinton; brother, Leo Marsh, Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Jason (Angie) Roth, Raymond, Vaughn Roth, Flowood, Ryan (Jamie) Roth, Pearl, and Jennifer (Allan) Rodgers, Clinton; great-grandchildren, Jonah, Savannah, Cooper and Wyatt Roth and Jackson and Scarlett Rodgers; very special nephews and nieces, Lonnie Smith, Birmingham, AL, Pat Smith, Itta Bena, Allen Smith, Meridian, David Smith, Starkville, Sue Linton, Meridian and Rosa Lee Stys, Atlanta, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Roth, sister, Josephine Smith, and brother, James Mabry.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM, Monday at Holy Savior Catholic Church, Clinton with Father Thomas McGing officiating. A Committal service will be held at 3 PM, Monday at Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lonnie and Allen Smith, Andy Linton, and Jason, Vaughn and Ryan Roth.
For those who prefer, memorials may be given to First Baptist Church Comfort Committee, P. O. Box 540, Amory, MS 38821, or to a charity of choice.
