Mary Pauline Oliver

Tupelo - Mary Pauline Oliver, 76, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. She was born on April 12, 1944, in Lee County to Rufus Wesley Oliver and Florence Northington Oliver. Her brother was Jackie G. Oliver of Aberdeen.

Mary was a longtime resident of Diversicare in Tupelo, MS, having moved in with her mom in 1985. She was special, a talker, and always greeted everyone that walked in their front door. She loved her Diversicare Family and they shared many laughs and memories over the years. As time went by, many outsiders became good friends with Mary. The Tupelo High School Allied Health Students often came and visited with her as well as several students at ICC who adopted her as their own during the holidays.

Mary enjoyed doing crafts and coloring. She liked to be glamorous, going to the beauty shop, getting her hair done and wearing lots of jewelry. She enjoyed music and she especially liked when Doug Hill came to perform Gospel Music.

Mary was blessed to have so many kind and giving friends throughout her life and in turn she gave many smiles and lots of joy to others. She leaves behind a legacy of good memories with her friends and family at Diversicare.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Andrews Chapel Cemetery, Mooreville, MS.
