Mary Frances Oliver

Amory- Mary Francis Harris Oliver, 70, died Monday, May 13, 2013 at Gilmore Memorial regional Medical Center. Born February 3, 1943, she was a daughter of Ottis W. Burroughs and the late Vera Grace May Burroughs. She married Bobby Oliver in 1961.

Mrs. Oliver grew up in Amory, and was a graduate of Amory High School. A wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, she devoted herself as a homemaker to her husband and daughters. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Amory, enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed taking care of her dogs.

She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Bobby Oliver; daughters, Karen Walls (Bodie) and Kim Oliver, all of Amory; father, Ottis W. Burroughs, Amory; sister, Brenda Harris Rohdy (Mike), Birmingham; grandchildren, Nathan Whitaker (Carli Harper), Emily Whitaker, and Ryan Walls, all of Amory; niece, Tasha Whitehead (Scott), Atlanta; nephew, Michael Rohdy (Katrerine), Birmingham; great nieces and nephews, Peyton and Ashley Whitehead, Mike, Allison, Andrew, and Elizabeth Rohdy.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Vera Grace May Burroughs; brother, Michael Lewis Harris.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Dr. Allen Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery of the Steens community. Pallbearers will be John Craig Griffith, Cameron Vaughn, Dustin Parker, Patrick Swan, and Chanler Wright.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening, at the funeral home from 5PM- 8PM.
