Hatley- Mary Frances Benton Weaver, 80, died Friday, February 14, 2014 at her daughter’s residence. Born February 28, 1933 in Monroe County, MS, she was a daughter of Grady Clarence and Eula Tennessee May Benton. She attended Becker School.
A generous Christian lady, she was a member of North Boulevard Christian Church. A devoted, caring and loving mother to her children, she was homemaker, always caring for their needs. She was blessed with grandchildren, which she adored, and loved spending time with them, picking them up and taking them to school and sewing. She was very pleased to have all of her children by her side until the very end of her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Lochridge (John), Aberdeen and Elaine Fisher (Alton), Montgomery, TX; sons, Connie Weaver, Hatley and Larry Weaver, West Palm Beach, FL; sister, Dene Cummings (Charles), Smithville; grandchildren, Chad King, Lisa King, Jay Weaver, Cal Weaver, Heather Nevins and Adam Lochridge; great grandchildren, McKenzie Nevins, Connor Nevins, Olivia Tubbs, Kati King and Taylor King; 12 nieces and 13 nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, JoAnn Pennington and Marie Reeves; brothers, Ralph Benton, Henry Benton, Johnny Benton, Dale Benton, Billy Benton, Sonny Benton and Alvis Benton.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2pm, Sunday, February 16, 2014 at North Boulevard Christian Church with Bro. Furman Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Gentiva Hospice employees, Barbie, Denise, Dr. Clint Washington, Dr. Laura Washington, Bro. Danny and Debara.
Visitation will be 5-8pm Saturday evening at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, with Mrs. Weaver lying in state at the church Sunday from 1pm until service time.
