Mary Alexander

Odenville, AL - Mary R. Alexander, 87, formerly of Amory, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Trinity Medical Center, Birmingham, AL. Born on March 9, 1926, in Monroe County, she was a daughter of the late James Foster and Annie Ethel Robertson.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, and a cherished "Grandma" & "Memaw." Her heart was filled with kindness and compassion to all that knew her. Mary lived her life to the fullest and never lost her sense of humor. Her love and laughter will be etched in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her son. Bobby (Faye) Jordan, Amory; her daughters, Rita (Jim) Long, Lantana, TX, and Anne (Joe) Giada, Birmingham, AL; her grandchildren, Jim (Stephanie) Long, Jennifer (Chris) Adams, Jeff Long, Foster Jordan, Blake (Toni) Jordan, Ashley Giada, and Jordan Giada; and her great grandchildren, Ivy Adams, Rosie Adams, Lacie Long, Parker Jordan and Devon Dykes.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Alexander; her sisters, Dorothy (Dot) Brown, Ordean (Dean) Moffett; and her brother, Dayton Burren Robertson.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 PM, Monday, May 6, 2013 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home. A Committal Service with inurnment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Aberdeen. Visitation will be from 2 PM until the service hour on Monday at the funeral home.
