Amory –Marvin Earl Cooper, Jr., 35, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at NMMC, Tupelo. Born on July 2, 1981, in Aberdeen, he was a son of Marvin Earl Cooper, Sr, and Tammy West Allen.
Earl was a graduate of Smithville High School, Class of 2001, and played on the State Championship football team in 1998. He grew up attending the Church of God. Outgoing, funny, loving and caring, Earl loved his family, especially his children. He treasured playing and spending time with his children. He and Alex enjoyed playing pool and baseball. Earl was an avid sports fan.
A provider for his family, he worked for Wax Seed Company for a while as a fork lift driver. He then began work in construction, where he worked for Monte Roberts. A strong guy who was full-of-life, Earl loved to cook, enjoyed fishing & hunting and had a passion for all kinds of music. He was so full of life and he will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved him.
Survivors include his daughter, Kaylee Grace “Tater Bug” Cooper, Wren; sons, Alex & Trent Cooper, Amory; Hayden & Brayden Cooper, Wren; Noah Cooper, Wren; Jaxon Peapke, Wren; his parents, Marvin Earl Cooper, Sr.(Brenda) and Tammy Allen (Sam); his fiancée, Casey Cantrell, Amory; sisters, Sabrina “Sis” Cooper and Candace “Baby Girl” Ledbetter, (Dalton) of Amory; step-sister, Beth Allen, Amory; step-brother, Brandon Allen, Amory; niece, Haven “Junebug” Cooper, who was like his daughter; special friends, Amy Coleman, mother of Alex & Trent, Eden Peapke, mother of Jaxon.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Cooper; Helen Patton; Vada Cooper; Harvey Trenton West; step-grandfather, Bobby Patton; special friends, Tiffany Vaughn, mother of Hayden, Brayden, Noah and Kaylee.
His Funeral Service will be at 2 PM, Monday, May 1 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Bro. Vance Kimball, Bro. Jesse Strider & Bro. Dudley Nash officiating. Burial will be in Wren Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ken Roberts, Brandon Allen, Michael Holloway, Monte Roberts, Anthony "Tennessee" West & Wesley Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Jones, Pete Lewis, Darrell Haywood, Steven Young, James Holloway, Jamie Bennett, A.J. Murphy, Aaron "A-Dub" West.
Visitation will be 12 - 1:45 PM, Monday at the funeral home.
