Martha Hall

Caledonia – Martha Ann Hall, 61, died on Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center. Born on August 22, 1950, in Aberdeen, she was a daughter of the late S. D. “Sam” and Annie Grace Bailey Jones.Martha received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mississippi. On January 26, 1974, she married Redus Hall. A woman of faith, Martha was a member of Ethelsville Freewill Baptist Church in Pickens County, AL. In 1999, she retired from Mississippi Department of Human Services. Fun-loving and generous, Martha enjoyed listening to Gospel music, shopping, and cross-stitching. She always looked forward to eating out with her friends from the Downey Birthday Club and with other special friends.She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Redus Hall, Caledonia; brother, Sammy Jones, Gattman; aunts, Lillian Brown and Belle Smitty, both of Texas; several cousins; and other family members and friends.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Jones.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, October 7, 2011, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Mickey Crane officiating. Burial will follow in Sulligent City Cemetery.
