Amory – Martha Faye Parham Loden, 80, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. Born on September 28, 1937, at her home in the Parham Community, she was a daughter of the late Columbus Chap and Mary Roebuck Parham.

Martha Faye graduated from Hatley High School with the class of 1956. On November 16, 1956, she married her best friend and love of her life, Farrar Loden. Together they were blessed by God with two daughters. Martha Faye was a faithful member of Amory Church of Christ and she loved The Lord. During her career, she worked one of the most important jobs in the industry, she was a loving home-maker. Martha Faye was also a teacher’s assistant for Mrs. Murphy in kindergarten classes.

She was well-known for her caring heart and giving soul. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them. Martha Faye’s church family also meant the world to her and she loved sharing fellowship with all. In her free time, she liked to spend time with her grandchildren and watch Hallmark and QVC channels. Some of her favorite memories were from traveling to various places with her family and going to Nascar Shops in Charlotte. Martha Faye also enjoyed going on bus trips with community groups. Some of her closest friends were Jo Rainey, Helen Howell, Jan Minch, Debbie Tate, and Tracy Bowen. She was close and especially fond of her siblings. Martha Faye touched many lives as she was a caring, giving, and wonderful southern lady. She will be missed dearly by all yet her friends and family know that her memories will live on in their hearts.

Martha Faye is survived by her daughters, Sheila (Leslie) Grant, Amory, Suzanne Loden (Howard Garner), Amory; grandchildren, Shelley (Steven) Summerford, Amory, Shayne (Tacy) Grant, Amory; sisters, Mary Jo (Jimmy) Young, Linda Pickle, and Sherryel (Harold) Cooper; brother, Herbert (Julia Rae) Parham; great-grandchildren, Grant Summerford, Loden Grant, and Jon David Grant; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Farrar Loden; and brother, Eb Parham.

Her Funeral Service will be held at 11AM, Thursday, December 21, 2017 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Mr. Brad Blalock, Mr. Leslie Grant, and Mr. Shayne Grant officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Amory. Pallbearers will be Shay Cooper, Stevie Young, Greg Parham, Shayne Grant, Steven Summerford, Monty McCormick, Alan Loden, and Tim Dickerson. Honorary pallbearers will be James Maxey, the “Tuesday Morning Church Visitors”, Donnie Bowen, Sam Carpenter, and her nephews.

Visitation for Martha Faye will be from 4PM-8PM, Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at the funeral home.
