Marie Sanderson

Amory – Marie Sanderson, 92, died on Sunday, October 12, 2014, at her residence. Born on September 25, 1922, in Itawamba County, she was a daughter of the late Hubert Edward and Cleo Marie Dill Wigginton.

Mrs. Sanderson was a retired seamstress from the local garment industry. Guided by her faith in Christ, she was a member of Bigbee Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, yard work, picking antiques and Gospel and Country music.

Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Wheeler (Wade), Vernon, AL; sister, Mildredge Kendrick, Smithville and Faye Pearson, Amory; brother, James Wigginton, Smithville; grandchildren, Dana and Robert; great-grandchildren, Hali, Nick, Casey, Mikayla, Tyler and Riley; great-great-grandson, Wes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hob Sanderson, Sr.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday, October 15 at Bigbee Baptist Church with Bro. Justin Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Pearce Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Cross, Bill Tacker, Robert Culpepper, Kenny Gilmore, Charlie Branhan, Phil Walden, Jerry Simmons and Charles Sisson.

Visitation will be from 11 AM – 12:50 PM at the church on Wednesday prior to the service.
