Margaret Hawkins West

Franklin, TN - Margaret West, 73, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2015. Born on February 2, 1942, in Monroe County, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Georgia Mae Hawkins.

Margaret worked in one of the most important jobs in society these days, she was homemaker. She was selfless and kind in every way and the world was a better place because of her. Margaret was a Christian and a loving mother to six children. She was completely devoted to her children and she spent 30 years of her life devoted to the care of her precious son, Sam. Margaret was such a kind, caring, and humble lady. She was a woman of strength, yet meek in nature.

She is survived by her sons, Tom (Deborah) West, Tim (Wendi) West, James (Amanda Ross) West, Joel (Stacy) West; a daughter, Rebekah (Charles) Dodson; 18 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Samuel West.

Her Funeral Service will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, July 26, 2015, at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Bro. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Beeks Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her beloved grandsons.

Visitation will be from 1 PM until the service hour at the funeral home.
