Nettleton – Margaret Anita “Bob” Parker, 62, died on Monday, December 13, 2010, at NMMC, Tupelo. Born in Amory on November 21, 1948, she was a daughter of Edith Earl Bethune Allen and the late William Albert Allen.
A wonderful, loving, caring and giving lady, she always put others first. Margaret was of the Pentecostal faith. She was a retired seamstress from Reeds Manufacturing. Margaret enjoyed playing on the computer, listening to a variety of music and watching television. Spending time with her family was most important to her.
She is survived by her daughter, Samantha (Michael) Wages; sons, Larry Steve (Cindy) Parker, Richard Wayne Parker and Terry Lynn Parker, all of Nettleton; mother, Edith Allen, Amory; sister, Virginia Sue Allen, Nettleton; grandchildren, Brandon Parker, Lakin Lewis, Richard Aaron Parker, Dillan Dewayne Parker, Ryan Dewayne Parker, Austin Alexander Wages, Parker Hayden Wages and Gavin Michael Wages; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Jenna Lewis; nephew, William Anthony McGarrh; and special friends, Jessie and Jeanette Tillery and family, Little Rock, AR. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Junior Parker.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM, Thursday at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. Ben Raper officiating. A private family committal service will be held. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby and Paul Bean, Andy McGarrh, Brandon, Aaron, Dillan and Ryan Parker.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
