Marcelle Medley

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Marcelle Horne Medley, passed away with her daughter by her side on March 5, 2023 at the age of 95 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Terry (Anita) Medley, Jackson, and Nita (John) McFadden, West Point; grandchildren: Meagan Medley, (fiancé Jim Muncie) and Hunter Medley (Mackenzie); great grandchildren: Hayes and Blake Medley; Maggie Grace and Mary Clayton Muncie. She leaves her siblings Martha Holland, Jack Horne and Carolyn Murphy as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Marcelle, affectionally known as “Mosie” was predeceased by her husband of forty-four years, “Babe” Medley; her parents Relder and Ruby Jewel Horne; siblings Marion McWhirter, Jimmy Little, Jerry Horne, and Linda Cadden.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Smithville Baptist Church with Bro. Wes White and Bro. Drew Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at Young Memorial Garden with pallbearers being Tommy Cole, Hunter Medley, Jim Muncie, Corey Glenn, Jimmy Linderman, Wade Horne and Bobby Harper. Honorary Pallbearer will be John Holland.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday afternoon from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the church in Smithville, MS.
