Nettleton- Mae Bell Keeton Maples Williams, 87, died on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at River Place Nursing Center, Amory. Born on September 10, 1927, in Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Mae Magnolia Miles Keeton.
Mrs. Williams attended school in Alabama. Before becoming a homemaker, she worked as an upholstery bundler at Nettle-Craft. She was a member of Trace Road Baptist Church. A loving, beautiful, wonderful, and sweet, one-of-a-kind lady, Mrs. Williams was proud of and dearly loved her family.
Survivors include her husband, Elton Williams, Nettleton; daughter, Julie Holcomb (Jimmy), Verona; sons, James William “Billy” Maples (Anita), Plantersville and Henry Maples, Nettleton; grandchildren, Rocky Roper (Lisa), Josh Holcomb, Melissa Tomson (Ross), Robbie Roper; great-grandchildren, Gordon Tomson, Bella Holcomb, Braxton Holcomb; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Buddy Maples; sisters, Willie Gainey and Joyce Lantrip; brothers, Daily, Grady, Curtis, Coolidge, and Bud Keeton.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, September 18 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. Clinton Worthey officiating. Burial will follow in Durrett Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ray and Ricky Keeton; Mark Whitehead; Jason Keeton; and Mike Meredith.
Visitation will be from 11 AM - 12:50 PM, Thursday at the funeral home.
