Lynn Farrar
Amory, Miss.—Dayton Lynn Farrar, 68, died on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at his daughter’s home in Murfreesboro, TN. Born June 19, 1945 in the Bigbee Community, he was a son of Dayton Lee and Christine Stanley Farrar. He was a graduate of Hatley High School and he owned and operated Lynn’s Standard Station in Hatley. Before his retirement he had worked for Blue Bell and Haliburton. He attended New Hope Primitive Baptist Church in Hatley and he enjoyed watching football, baseball, and NASCAR. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Elder Tim Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in the Hatley Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Missy Farrar Blissard and Dawn Farrar both of Murfreesboro, TN; one son, Dayton Farrar of Murfreesboro, TN; his mother, Christine Farrar; one sister, Janice Vaughan (Jimmy) of Hatley; one brother, Stanley Farrar (Linda) of Hatley; 5 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Shelby Farrar.
Pallbearers will be Michael Farrar, Sydney Farrar, Justin Farrar, Andy Farrar, Shane Blissard, Wesley Blissard, Jay Vaughan, and Andrew Farrar.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
