Amory – Luther John Ginn, 53, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo. Born on August 28, 1963, in Amory, MS, he was a son of Wilma Lorean Harrison Ginn and the late Paul Ginn.
John graduated with the class of 1981 of Amory High school. He loved the Lord and was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Amory. He worked for several years in furniture plants before becoming disabled. John enjoyed designing furniture and he was very smart with his finances. He enjoyed fishing and watching t.v. A compassionate man with a big heart, he loved and cared for his mother. John enjoyed taking care of the “Waterway Bait Shop” with his mother. Some of his closest friends were Timmy Tartt, Johnny Sloan and they enjoyed fishing and running around together. John liked watching football, especially the Miami Hurricanes, Mississippi State, and the Dallas Cowboys. He especially liked Dak Prescott and watching “the Voice” on t.v. He will missed dearly by all that knew him.
His is survived by his mother, Wilma Ginn; special friends, Johnny Sloan (Carol), Amory, Timmy Tartt (Jan), Amory, Chris Boozer (Dana), Tupelo, Mark Kelso, Horn Lake, Trish Boyd (Matt) Amory, and David Seay, Amory.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Luther and Pearl Ginn; Ressie and Wallace Harrison.
His Funeral Service will be at 1 PM, Saturday, February 25 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Bro. Ronnie Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be members of the Amory Class of 1981. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Sloan, Timmy Tartt, Gary Bowen, Allen Boozer, and Chris Boozer.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Friday, at the funeral home.
