Nettleton—Lula “Cricket” Thrasher, 34, passed away at her home on May 5, 2016. Born December 11, 1981 in Amory, she was a daughter of the late Zipper Lee Gray and Sheila Gosa.
“Cricket” attended Nettleton Schools and she was of the Baptist faith. Lula married Greg Thrasher on June 1, 2014. A kind hearted, loving individual, she cherished the time spent with her children. Cricket loved any type of art, especially coloring and writing poems. She was a faithful Bible reader and loved to listen to Gospel music. She will especially be missed by her special friend, her sister Ruby.
She is survived by her husband, Greg Thrasher (Nettleton); daughter, Layla Thrasher, Amory; sons, Christian Gray, Austin Clay Stanford, Cody Stanford, Tyler Stanford and Tucker Thrasher; sister, Ruby Rhymes (Kenneth) Guntown; brothers, Zipper Lee Gray and Mason Lee Gray both of Nettleton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Zipper and Sheila Gray.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM, at Providence Cemetery in Nettleton. Pallbearers will be Mason Gray, Austin Stanford, Tim Randolph, Kenneth Rhymes, Bubba Ritter, and Tracy Rhymes.
Visitation will be Monday, May 9, 2016, from 9:00 am – 10:45 am at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory.
