Amory - Louise Hester Wardlaw, 95, died Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Amory. Born March 12, 1918 in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Brodie and Carrie Brown Hester. She married Woodrow Wilson Wardlaw, who preceded her in death.
Since July 2002, Golden Living, Amory was her home. She was a member of Cason Baptist Church. She enjoyed “dressing up” and going to restaurants with her family. An active participant in the programs at Golden Living, she had served as Resident Council President. She remained engaged in life throughout her 95 years. She was a woman of great faith and fortitude.
Survivors include two daughters, Dot Hale (Paul) of Oxford and Pat Whitaker (Tyson) of Sardis; four grandchildren: Laura Hale Williamson, Audra Hale-Maddox, Russell Whitaker, and Randall Whitaker; six great grandchildren: Anne-Hale Winter, Harrison Winter, Walt Maddox, Charlotte Maddox, Amanda Whitaker, and Sarah Whitaker.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3pm, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Cason Baptist Church with Bro. Shane Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Cason Baptist Church.
Visitation will be prior to the service on Wednesday at the church from 1:30pm-2:45pm.
