Louise Parham

Amory – Louise Parham, 93, died on Friday, March 30, 2012, at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center. Born on May 28, 1918, in Wilson, AR, she was a daughter of the late Will and Belle Hathcock Miller.
Mrs. Parham attended Hatley and Parham Store Community schools. She married Oscar Parham in November 1938, and lived in the Parham Community most of her life. Retiring from Amory Garment after more than 55 years of service, she was a seamstress. A woman of faith who always read her Bible, Mrs. Parham attended New Hope Church of Christ. Happy and fun-loving, she cherished spending time with her husband and family, especially her grandchildren. One to always help others, Mrs. Parham was known for her smiles and laughter; she believed in being honest, kind, and always doing the right thing. She enjoyed singing hymns, being outdoors working in the garden, hunting and fishing with her husband, and sewing for her family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 PM, Sunday at New Hope Church of Christ with Mr. David Highland, minister, officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Yount, Terry Roberts, David and Danny Stanford, and William and Bobby Ivey. Honorary pallbearers will be Frankie Stevens, Rodney Parish, Heath and Corben Blake, and Ian Smith.
Mrs. Parham will lie-in-state at the church from 2 PM until the service hour.
She is survived by a son, Johnny Parham (Vicki), Parham Community; sisters, Nellie Dean Parish, Amory, Virginia Parish, Fort Worth, TX, Ruth Stanford, Bigbee, Jean Roberts, Memphis, Eunice Stevens, Fulton, and Midge Belle Hodges (Mark), Calhoun City; grandchildren, April Parham Smith and Heather Blake; great-grandchildren, Heath Blake, Mollie Beth Ann Parham, Ian Smith, Corben Blake, and Chloe Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Parham; a daughter, Beverly Jane Parham; sisters, Jo Will Thornton and Mae East; and brothers, Dow, Daniel, and Clarence Miller.
