Amory – Louise Crosswhite, 89, died on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center. Born on August 24, 1924, in Amory, she was a daughter of the late Rex and Lorraine Mitchell Ritter.
Mrs. Crosswhite was a graduate of Hatley High School, Class of 1942. After 40 years of service, she retired as a supervisor with Amory Garment. She was a member of Meadowood Baptist Church. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. Mrs. Crosswhite enjoyed yard work, reading, crossword puzzles, and was an avid MSU and New Orleans Saints football fan.
She is survived by her daughter, Jerri Brock (Terry), Amory; son, Don Harmon (Ann), Gulf Shores, AL; grandchildren, Kim Harmon Johnson, Patrick Harmon (Diana), Kristi Smith (Brandon), and Spencer Brock (Elise); great-grandchildren, Jarrett Johnson, Karli Johnson, Hayden Smith, Abbye Smith, Andrew Brock, and Cade Brock; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Ruth Miller.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Spencer Crosswhite.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 PM, Wednesday, March 19 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Pete Underwood and Dr. Lloyd Sweatt officiating. Burial will follow in Hatley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Smith, Spencer Brock, Patrick Harmon, Sam Mitchell, Bobby Keith Mitchell, and Robert Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be Logan Mitchell, Sammy Mitchell, Jarrett Johnson, and Hayden Smith.
Visitation will be from 5 PM to 8 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
